With my son James.
He did really well the first semester of Jr.high and has since gone downhill the second semester as he is purposely not doing his assignments and turning them in. Marc and I are at our wits end with trying to talk with him, taking his privileges away etc. Nothing seems to be helping. And we are at a loss to know how to deal with it all.
I meant to comment when I saw this last month but the holidays just threw me for a loop. We are having the same problem with Emanuel and from what I understand from the teachers and even the psychologist it is very normal. They said the problem is so many parent finally give in because they are tiered or just don't have enough fight in them. When the fighting gets really bad that is when you know you are winning. They have to up it more and more because they are loosing.min turn don't give up he will come around he is just stretching those independent legs of his and not thinking straight. He has no way of rationalizing that not doing his work and getting a good education can and will effect him for the rest of his life. I know it is an up hill battle but stay strong and PRAY!!!!
